(Sr.) Scientist Bioanalytics

The Position – Your Role

As a (Sr.) Scientist Bioanalytics you will be responsible for the bioanalytical method strategy with focus on immunoassays for characterization of the disposition (PK), immunogenicity (ADA), and potency (CMC) of novel biotherapeutics.
Your tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work according to regulatory standards and guidelines to ensure quality, compliance and data integrity;
  • Scientifically support and discuss assay strategy design, assay development, assay validation and troubleshooting activities in-house as well as at CROs;
  • Supervise and manage assay development, assay validation and troubleshooting activities in-house and at external parties;
  • Support method transfer activities to external partner;
  • Monitor internal and external project progress and communicate directly with CRO and internal project teams to ensure successful progress within timelines;
  • Write, review and transfer necessary documentation, such as protocols, SOPs, plans and reports.

The Requirements

We are looking for candidates with the following expertise:

  • You are an MSc or PhD with ≥ 3 years of industrial bioanalytical work experience in either biotech / pharma or at a CRO;
  • You have in-depth scientific knowledge and hands-on experience on different ligand binding immunoassay technologies (e.g. ELISA, ECLIA etc.);
  • You have demonstrated experience and knowledge of relevant guidelines such as GLP, GCLP, etc.;
  • You are familiar in managing CRO assigned bioanalysis outsourcing activities and/or have direct experience as a CRO scientist with sponsor interactions;
  • You have proven record of experience in the development, validation and troubleshooting of assays to assess pharmacokinetics (PK), immunogenicity (ADA and nAb), and CMC potency;
  • You are able to independently set-up experimental strategies and can analyse and interpret data with data analysis and basic statistical software such as Excel, SoftMax Pro, GraphPad Prism, etc.;
  • You are well-organized, quality driven and can lead several projects in parallel;
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • As pre you have already gained experience with or have an affinity to develop biomarker assays in close liaison with your colleagues from the translational research department.
