At LAVA, the HR Associate is the first point of contact for HR related questions and issues. They are responsible for collecting, uploading, maintaining and explaining HR related information that is captured in LAVA’s HR information system. They are responsible for keeping all required HR records including applications, résumés, training records, sickness absence records, vacation planning and personal records. The HR Associate develops and maintains HR related documents including organizational charts, job descriptions, terms of employment manual and performance review documents. They are the first point of contact towards the Occupational Health Service Provider (Arbodienst) and other institutions (UWV, Payroll company etc.). The HR Associate enrolls new employees by coordinating on-boarding programs, issuing documents and forms and is responsible for verifying completion. Together with the various managers, they assist employees by explaining policies and processes and complying with internal requirements. The HR Associate builds a trusted relationship with managers and employees and protects privacy by keeping HR related information confidential.
You keep an MSc degree in a relevant area and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an R&D environment. You have well-developed people skills and you are good at building and maintaining employer-employee relationships which have a significant impact on the company’s morale and culture. You are capable of working in an environment with highly skilled professionals. You are a fast learner and have strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills. You take initiative, enjoy working in a fast-growing company and inspire others with your enthusiasm. You pay attention to detail and self-reflect on the quality of your work. You are capable of working on multiple tasks in parallel and prioritize appropriately. Finally, you have outstanding written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.
A full time position in a motivating and dynamic R&D company. You will be offered a set of excellent labour conditions. Following a positive appraisal after a year of temporary contract, you will be offered a permanent position. Salary and benefits are according to biotech industry standards. The location of the position will be at LAVA’s office in Utrecht.
